My Story
MY ROOTS
Attorney Karla Navarrete grew up in the border city of National City, a region near San Diego, CA. Always proud of her Mexican roots and grateful for the sacrifices her mother made to come to this country. Her mother cleaned houses and schools for a living. Attorney Karla Navarrete was inspired by her mother and family to become an immigration attorney to help others. She graduated with honors from Sweetwater High School in National City, CA.
At seventeen she began her college career at UCLA, recognized as the best public university in the country. At UCLA she received her BA in Chicano/a Studies and Literature. UCLA was also where he began preparing for law school.
Attorney Navarrete graduated from Loyola Law School in 2012 with a Juris Doctorate. In 2013, she took her oath as attorney in the State of California. Since then she has helped thousands of people with their immigration cases. Her best memories is to see her client’s smiles when their cases are won.

Her Experience As An Immigration Attorney
Attorney Navarrete began her legal career in 2013. Her first job in the legal field was with the National Immigration Law Center (NILC), a national immigrant advocacy organization. After, she worked for more than eight years at the organization Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, known as CHIRLA where she became the Director of Legal Services. At CHIRLA she handled more than 600 Cases, trained dozens of attorneys and legal assistants and was instrumental in growing the legal department to one of the biggest in the state.
Attorney Navarrete’s work has been recognized and appeared in various local and national media outlets including Univision, Telemundo, LA Times, and CNN among many more.
Attorney Navarrete has recently expanded her repertoire on social networks such as Tik Tok, Instagram and Facebook, creating culturally relevant content for immigrant families about important immigration laws.
The Attorney Karla Navarrete is married and the proud mother of four.
